I think it would be a lot of fun to have you guys come on up. There are some nice camping spots in the trees across the road from the observing field, where a tent could be carefully placed to get shade the next morning, if anyone wanted to camp out. Dave Bernson and Dave Bennet have been observing there for years, and started pushing some of the rest of us to try it out last year. Next month, Allen & I will probably be heading up to Wolf Creek again, as we can't take a whole weekend to go up to Monte Cristo. After the conference, you may find a bunch of us up there to recuperate....Weather dependent, of course. Jo

How would the SLASers feel if UVAA joined them at Wolf Creek in July? I'd sure like to try it out...

Jo et al, I did a quick count of potential shaded tent sites across the road in the trees: 20 - 25 good places for a tent in the nice cul-de-sac-o-trees across the way. If you continue either North or South there are several dozen more but further away from the site. I may go camping up there for the 4th-6th as well considering it will be a few day's past last quarter. dlb On Monday, June 17, 2002, at 05:20 PM, Josephine Grahn wrote:
