Go out and look at Venus shortly after sunset. I can't recall ever seeing it so far due south near Greatest Eastern Elongation before. Kind of took me by surprise, I guess I haven't looked at it for a few weeks now.
It has been amazing for a month or so. Just blazing away, far to the south.
