I shot these photos from the Driveway Observatory in St. George this morning. This is the comet the space shuttle crew photographed the other day. It was after 05:00 when I took the photos. The comet was very low on the horizon and I had to wait until it rose high enough to clear a tree that was blocking the view. However, had I set up in the middle of the street I could have taken an earlier shot. While I did consider this, I finally decided to let this idea go. Besides, the wife was standing there and I didn't want to reinforce her belief that I'm a little off.
