Jeff: I live about 1.7 miles from the mouth of Big Cottonwood Canyon. I have considered going to the top to photograph the sky, but (a) it's a bowl and (b) there are lots of lights from Brighton. Did you use the trees to block the lights from Brighton. Did you wa lk to the fa r end of Silver Lake? Brent: So sorry (really) had I known you were going to SPOC I would have gone too. It would have been nice to see you. I suspect you "griped" about the 18" cause you don't have a 22" inch anymore (hehe).
Yes, Joan, I miss the 22 inch but only one in a great while. I will say that Friday night brought my astronomical interest a bit more to the forefront. Tom's Obsession was a very nice scope, and much more portable than the 22. ________________________________ From: "jcarman6@q.com" <jcarman6@q.com> To: Utah Astronomy <utah-astronomy@mailman.xmission.com> Sent: Sunday, June 2, 2013 11:47 AM Subject: [Utah-astronomy] Silver Lake/ SPOC Jeff: I live about 1.7 miles from the mouth of Big Cottonwood Canyon.
