We were up in the Uintahs this weekend camping. Just thought I'd post about Eliz Ridge where we went. When we got there on Saturday afternoon there was a gate just after the turnoff past the top of the road (where the elevation sign for Eliz Ridge is). We were concerned, as we weren't sure we wanted to just go through it. So we decided to drive back down to the ranger station. Fortunately for us there were 2 ranger trucks parked by the elevation sign. :) We asked them about it and they said it was just for the Rainbow People, to keep them out, and we could go camp there. So we moved the gate (simple wooden gate) and went on through. Made it nice and quiet. LOL. So if anyone heads up there and is concerned, it's probably okay to go through to camp. Cyn
