Hi Folks, Whether you have white-light or H-a solar capability, there's some very interesting stuff to see on the sun today (and no doubt for the next several days). There's a kind of key-hole shaped sunspot in active region 2371 (just a couple of days around from the far side) that is visible (at least to my 20:15 eyes) without magnification. When I just looked, it appeared that flaring was occurring near it (probably not very violent as it shows up in H-a). At any rate, the sun's a great target this evening and will likely be for several days. John
