Satellite pieces to reenter Thursday
Parts of the weather satellite the Chinese destroyed in January are starting to come down (unfortunately many pieces will remain in polar orbit for years). A couple of pieces are predicted to reenter such that the fiery reentry _MAY_ be visible from N. Utah this coming Thursday evening (the 5th). Details as predicted for SPOC: First piece rises in SSE at 18h43m36s. 65 degrees above ENE at 18h45m44s (distance from SPOC 88.5 km, altitude above ground 81.6 km). If it does not reenter it will then set in NNW at 18h47m55s. Second (much smaller piece that may not be visible even if it does renter) follows a similar but lower trajectory 2 to 4 minutes after the first. Again, this _MAY_ be visible from N. Utah and it could be a great sight if it is, but I would not bet any money on it. :) pw
