Fri. 2-1-2008 7AM - Jupiter and Venus in single e.p. view
On Feb. 1, 2008 at 07:00 MST (2-1-2008 14:00UT), Venus and Jupiter will be low in the southeast at alt 11 degs, az 133 deg in the southeast sky, and in conjunction at only 35' separation in a single e.p. view. This conjunction event will occur with the Sun about 6 degs below the horizon in nautical twilight. Jupiter and Venus will be above the "spout" of Sgr on a line from the top of the teapot - gam Sgr, through M22 and on to khi Sgr. This event will repeat on the following day, Sat. Feb. 2, 2008 at 07:00 MST, when Venus and Jupiter will be 1 deg 14 arcmin apart - still within one e.p. view.
