Nice link, so Susskind convinced Hawking it does not violate quantum mechanics, IE no information or material is lost we simply can't observe it once it enters the Black Hole.

I guess the Neutron Stars Don referred to could exist along with Black Holes. I would be interesting to ask Susskind or Hawking about the Scientific American article, but it seems they would be at odds with it as they feel they have already resolved the apparent "War".
