Well as it turned out I am getting away from work in time to attend the meeting- but my wife must go out tonight so I am staying home to help my daughter with a school assignment. Not a bad alternative, really, if you think about it. If someone on the list attends, please post an outline of the proceedings when you get a few minutes. I know Lowell is trying very hard to make the club more interesting for everyone, and that is a lofty goal. Just today I realized that there will always be some oddballs such as myself, who can't figure out exactly what they want in a club meeting, and whose lives just can't mesh with club events with any kind of regularity anyway. That's OK, my active club time was 30 years ago, and will come again in the future when my career begins to wind down and the nest is empty. I think for now, more than anything the astronomy club serves me as just a way to keep in touch with old friends and kindred spirits. __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Hi Joe (and Chuck who asked the same thing), Nothing spectacular. Schedule and budget approved. A few speakers about outreach and star parties. I'm writing up an overview for News that will be out in an hour or two. Patrick
