Anyone know what conditions are like out at pit n pole right now? Thinking today or tomorrow night might be good for observing there, but how much snow is on the ground? Is it drivable without 4 wheel drive? Any suggestions of other dark sky sites near UT valley?
I'd like to join you, but I'm still recovering from spending the last several days in bed with the flu. This last one kicked my tail something fierce (and I did have a flu shot in November -- clearly this is the red-headed stepchild of the vaccine cousin I took then). Pray you don't get it, it's going around. :P /Rich From: Joel Stucki <joel.stucki@gmail.com> To: Utah Astronomy <utah-astronomy@mailman.xmission.com> Sent: Monday, February 8, 2016 7:30 AM Subject: [Utah-astronomy] Pit n Pole Anyone know what conditions are like out at pit n pole right now? I strongly resent the "red-headed" comment in your post!!! Now if you had said blonde bimbo or such, I would have been fine with that. I'm wondering if any of the regular sites are out of the inversion? It's thousands of feet thick in places, and stretches for hundreds of miles. Might be only mountain peaks that are out of the soup. On Mon, Feb 8, 2016 at 7:30 AM, Joel Stucki <joel.stucki@gmail.com> wrote:
