A little low but doable. There is a new SN found in NGC 1404. Initially at 12.6 and now down to 12.4. Discovered on 12/2/2011 by Stu Parker. Should be viewable in this 11.0 mag galaxy once the moon gets out of the way and if the weather cooperates.
