I just heard from another list that I'm subscribed to that there's a Minuteman III launch set for this coming Saturday morning from Vandenberg AFB in southern California. The target area, BTW, is down near Joe Bauman's old stomping grounds, the Kwajalein atoll. The 6 hour launch window opens at 0101 MST. Launches usually occur in the first few minutes of the window. And, yes, in case you are wondering, VAFB launches can be seen from northern Utah if the weather, sky conditions and trajectory cooperate. The nearly full Moon is probably going to mess things up for this launch, but then, you never know... Patrick
