I agree the west is pretty much covered, but Bryce's altitude should provide some relief, I suspect. Still, I'm too pooped to travel that far, so I have to sit that one out. Very best luck to those who are going, including Patrick, Guy and Ken (the ones I know of right now). -- Joe
Come to Wolf Creek Friday night. No one will care about the generator, but dress warm. -----Original Message----- From: utah-astronomy-bounces+djcolton=piol.com@mailman.xmission.com [mailto:utah-astronomy-bounces+djcolton=piol.com@mailman.xmission.com] On Behalf Of Joe Bauman Sent: Wednesday, July 11, 2007 10:16 AM To: Utah Astronomy Subject: [Utah-astronomy] Bryce & Smoke I agree the west is pretty much covered, but Bryce's altitude should provide some relief, I suspect. FYI, I was at lake Washington last Friday night (approx. same elevation as Wolf Creek I believe, just a ways to the north) and it got down to about 40 degrees overnight. Only problem was high thin clouds for much of the night... --- "Don J. Colton" <djcolton@piol.com> wrote:

Hey Kurt That fire detecting satellite is pretty good. I saw a hot spot in Hawaii (Maui) and it was the cane burn down the highway from me. It is sad to see so many Mainland spots w/ fires and smoke. Aloha Rob
With blue sky finally visible in the valley, Wolf Creek should be reasonable tonight. Anyone else planning to go? Clear Skies, Don Colton
Hi Don, Hope you have a great time. Pls give us a report. I'm sorry I can't go this time either. Best wishes, Joe
