I enjoyed your observing report. I wish I had stayed longer, but for some reason I just felt too tired to hang around--the cloudiness kind of discouraged me, too. I imagine if it had been a cloudless night, I would have taken some Mountain Dew or something to fight the sleepiness I was feeling. Anyway, I'll cross my fingers that we'll have a few new moons this year without cloud cover. It seems uncanny that nights with bright moonlight are so frequently clear, but dark nights are cloudy. I guess, though, that it shouldn't seem strange given the mathematical odds. Anyway, thanks again for you interesting report. Mike Bailey
