Would anyone mind if I came to this party? I have yet to attend a local Astronomy event, and I've really been itching to make it to one.

Anybody have a suggestion for the best way to get to the new Harmons in Draper, from West Valley?
If I can weasle out of work tomorrow, I may attend, and will bring the 20x80's & sun filters if I can indeed make it.
Thanks
C.

John I don't remember off the top of my head, and the SLAS website appears to be down. You can try later the URL is: http://slas.ws Chuck, Were the Oberwerk lightweight 20x80's the binos that you are thinking of bringing? (If you can get away) I'd like to see those. Apogee is importing them under their own name. They appear to be from the same manufacturer as the Oberwerk, Galileo, and Bear binoculars, sharing many identical parts. Just looked at the sun, there won't be much to look at tomorrow. Only one pathetic binocular-size spot on the whole disk. I hope someone brings a H-a setup. The printed time is 11am - 1pm. I'm hoping to be there right at 11 with the 15x70's and Chuck's parallelogram and solar filters. Rich --- JohnRenstrom@Hotmail.com wrote:
