I just got off the phone with Scott (350-4600); he wanted me to tell all of you hi for him, and to let you know he's going home from the hospital today. His speech is considerably slower, a common side effect of stroke victims; time will tell with these things (my mom suffered a stroke a couple of years ago, and in her case the recovery process was fairly rapid, though not 100%). Your thoughts and prayers on his behalf are much appreciated. Rich __________________________________________________ Do you Yahoo!? Yahoo! Jim I talked to Scott a couple of weeks ago because I had sent him an email at: mr_scope@hotmail.com He had mentioned then that his computer was down or something and at that time he wasn't able to acess email. You may not get through. Just be aware if you don't get a reply. Thank you so much. Actually, if we had his mailing address, we could send him get well soon and best wishes cards. Does anyone know where we could send him some cards - he might actually prefer that, and they could be staggered so he knows he is only a thought away. Thanks, again,

When I started going to SLAS meetings again, Scott came up to me, even though he didn't know me, and made me feel right at home again. He is one heck of a guy. A personalized "get well" card is coming buddy. I think that I will wait awhile before I call him. Thanks for the info gang. Without this sounding like a memorial (Hey, c'mon, Scotty's going to be back at the eyepiece in no time!) I have to say that I have never met anyone with more enthusiasm and love for astronomy and atming that Scott. C. --- Gary Liptrot <n7zi@attbi.com> wrote:
