Congrats to Rodger Fry and all for arranging the publicity op for the public service leader to be shown at Larry Miller Megaplex theaters. It was very professionally done. The SPOC part is towards the end around minute 3:00. Clear Skies - Kurt
A lot of Planetarium footage before though and no mention of public star parties. SLAS should make their own and mention more about Public Star Parties and the Telescopes themselves. It could be posted on local news websites and include link to our Star Party Calendar. The public service of SLAS is not highlighted.

Nice car parked next to the Refractor House though... :) But seriously, I think we're all accustomed to this. Even when I was doing PR for the Hansen Planetarium and always went out of my way to stress SLAS in joint SLAS/HP releases, the lion's share of what the media reported was planetarium related. Anyone remember the time the very nice reporter on live TV doing a remote from SPOC referred to SPOC as being the planetarium's observatory? :) patrick On 21 Jun 2011, at 11:55, erikhansen@thebluezone.net wrote:

Exactly why we should do our own. Come on 2011 BOD's!
