Yes, I know that last week of October and the first week of November I will be out A LOT weather permitting. I have stuff to get done and Nate, just so you know, I do go out during the winter when weather permits to some dark sky spots I know are accessible and safe, though they can get cold if one is not prepared. Two are paved and two are not. The paved ones have good skies and are up one of the canyons. Hopefully we get a week of rain the next 2 weeks and then 3 weeks of Indian Summer. Winter forecast is for below normal precipitation and warmer than normal so it could be a good winter to observe. Just kidding, of course. Just the end of the public outreach portion of the year. There may well be some additional outings and still some great club meetings and "advanced training" opportunities.

After last nights star party as we were all sitting at Denny's I kind of looked around at all of the different conversations going on all at once. It was quite the group. And I have to say I really enjoyed it. I am really quite an asocial type person. I wanted to say think you to all the people that have shared their knowledge with me and friendships as well. Being new I am very happy about becoming a member of the club and going to as many star parties as I have. It has been initially a bumpy experience. But now the people I have had the chance to meet I really enjoy talking to and learning from. (not to mention the sharing of some quick witted humor) I must also apologize as being asocial for so long I can be a bit, awkward. And it has made me horrible with names. Anyway thank you all for sharing your knowledge, humor, stories, and hobby with me.
