Star Trek writer Dorothy "D.C." Fontana passed away on Monday at the age of 80. She was the writer who developed much of the back story for Mr. Spock and other Star Trek characters, as well as writing some of the episodes. Her contributions continued into several of the ST spinoff series and movies. RIP, Ms. Fontana. Thank you! She has crossed the Final Frontier!
She was the best ST writer, with the most vision and solid sci-fi story telling skills. Her episodes were the BEST. She lives on in her work, which can be seen on Channel 4.4. RIP indeed. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Chuck Hards" <chuck.hards@gmail.com> To: "Utah Astronomy" <utah-astronomy@mailman.xmission.com> Sent: Wednesday, December 4, 2019 8:06:33 AM Subject: [Utah-astronomy] RIP D.C.
