I have good news to report: SLAS has received a generous grant of $1,500.00 from RTMC Astronomy Expo toward the acuisition of an OTA for the new accessible telescope for persons with disabilities. In the coming days/weeks (or whatever it takes) we will be shopping for a suitable SCT tube assembly for use on the mount already completed by Bruce Grim. We hope we can find a 14-inch scope; therfore, if anyone is aware of a second-hand scope that might be available, please contact Bruce, Siegried Jachmann or me and let us know. Way to go SLAS! Kim A.
