For my iPhone I use Pocket Universe, Planisphere, SkyWeek, and MoonPhase.
The MoonPhase was free. Planisphere and SkyWeek was $1 and Pocket Universe was $5. Erik I am preparing a list of commonly used astro cell phone apps and would to

I have an HTC Thunderbolt (Android). For those of you who have not yet seen it, Google Sky is pretty impressive (and free). Using GPS technology, you simply point the phone at any part of the sky (or ground!) and it will show you a simple star chart (including bright star names, planets and Messier Objects) of that part of the sky you're pointed at, day or night. --- On Mon, 6/13/11, Canopus56 <canopus56@yahoo.com> wrote: From: Canopus56 <canopus56@yahoo.com> Subject: [Utah-astronomy] Astronomy cell phone apps To: "Utah Astronomy List Serv" <utah-astronomy@mailman.xmission.com> Date: Monday, June 13, 2011, 3:28 PM I am preparing a list of commonly used astro cell phone apps and would to poll what you are using for: 1) Planetarium a) Freeware b) Commercial 2) Lunar a) Freeware b) Commercial for 3) Your phone a) Type b) Operating system Thanks, Clear Skies - Kurt _______________________________________________ Utah-Astronomy mailing list Utah-Astronomy@mailman.xmission.com http://mailman.xmission.com/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/utah-astronomy Visit the Photo Gallery: http://www.slas.us/gallery2/main.php
