Hi gang, I've got some friends coming out for a visit in a few days. I was thinking about driving up into the Uintas. As of a week or so ago, someone told me a lot of the roads were still blocked with snow. Does anyone know current status, or more importantly, is there a way I can find out without bugging people on the list? Michael
I doubt any listees would mind telling you about the road conditions, if they knew. But in case nobody here knows, you could try UDOT. -- Joe
A week ago the road to Mirror Lake was open but with about 10 feet of snow on either side at the Bald Mountain pass. I wouldn't count on Wolf Creek being open because no one plows the roads. I would check with the Forest Service about any unimproved roads.
