My favorite summer object is the Cat's Eye, NGC6543. The central star is frequently visible and the nebula shows a blue-green color. I enjoy looking at all the nebulas. The Eagle, Swan, Lagoon, Ring, Owl, Dumbell, and Trifid are all things that I enjoy looking at over and over in the summer. Another real interesting one, especially with a filter, is the Veil. The Veil is real big and I enjoy tracing around it with the telescope. I have 3 LPR filters. I have the Orion Narrow and Broad band and the Lumicon OIII. The OIII is probably my favorite although I do use the others and compare to see the different structure that shows when they are used. Dave
