Virtual Dub is a free option for turning multiple DSLR jpegs into a video file, like in those of the night sky that you see on the internet. Download site http://virtualdub.sourceforge.net/ http://virtualdub.org/ A tutorial http://www.setvak.cz/timelapse/timelapse-movie-guide.pdf I haven't used it, but have seen it recommended for this purpose.
