Hi Shoshana, my friend! I went to exactly such a place last night, the Great Salt Lake Park. I had an excellent view to the northeast. Unfortunately, smoke from the California and other wildfires made the air so gunky that I never saw the comet. I stayed looking from about 4:15 a.m. until 5. It wasn’t until I was driving back and the morning was brighter that I saw how foul the air was. Today we drove a short distance and saw that the air was still bad. — Best wishes, Joe Sent from my iPhone

I observed it from my driveway,in east layton, yesterday. I went out at 5 am. Some members of OAS got pictures from Kaysville a nd Antelope island. Some people were going up to trappers loop (road to Snow basin) this morning. Shoshana, One of myt favorite observing sites is Bald Mountain Pass. Proceed to Kamas, then take the Mirror Lake highway. About 28 miles east you will come to a dirt road to the left. If you turn off on that road you will be on a flat at about 10,300 feet. The sky is great, and the eastern horizon decent. Prepare for cool temperatures and clear, steady skies. Little Mountain or the top of East Canyon are the nearest. Sent from my iPad

Take Parleys Canyon to Little Mountain because I believe Emigration Canyon road is under construction and some sections only open to residents. No through traffic. On Fri, Jul 10, 2020 at 8:45 AM Erik Hansen <zaurak@digis.net> wrote:
