RE: [Utah-astronomy] Re: Bowling Ball International
I truly am sorry for any embarrassment this may have caused anyone. From now on, I'll keep my wacky ideas to myself. Patrick - did the magazine interview you?
Yep, and the Tribune reporter and someone from the BLM. Patrick _______________________________________________ Utah-Astronomy mailing list Utah-Astronomy@mailman.xmission.com http://mailman.xmission.com/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/utah-astronomy
Kim, don't flog yourself. The general public already thinks astronomers a little weird, and nobody around here is going to change that perception anytime soon. It goes with the territory, deal with it. As long as they don't show you the Instruments of Torture, you're doing alright. Heck, I work with a fellow who used to be in the Guard with Patrick, and I have to endure his remarks constantly!! (BTW Patrick, I stick up for you. Mostly. ;) Hang in there, Kim. But don't hang yourself! Chuck --- Kim Hyatt <khyatt@smithlayton.com> wrote:

Just make sure you don't land on the Salt Flats. :-) Actually, the legs have grown so long, I'm kinda looking forward to seeing where this thing walks to. Hey, maybe it'll make the cover of the World Weekly News. And if Art Bell calls, I'll be sure and refer him to you. And then there's the National Inquirer. Cover of the Rolling Stone? But seriously, I agree with Joe. This is a good story and we're doing real science. I'm sure that if Galileo really did drop things off that tower in Piza, he had his detractors too. And remember, the folks at JPL that have heard about the story think it's great. Patrick

Why not simulate a supernova by burning ants with a 25-inch Dob? ;) C. __________________________________________________ Do you Yahoo!? Yahoo! Mail Plus - Powerful. Affordable. Sign up now. http://mailplus.yahoo.com
