It seems the main thing is to web search for a seller whose advertisement expressly states "Windows 7 64-bit compatible" and "Certified by Windows Quality Program" - a combination of manufacturer warranties that occurs less often then you would think for something basic like a USB converter accessory. I ordered the Belkin model on impulse mentioned upthread because of that. Hopefully it will work on delivery. Thanks Daniel. - Kurt
