Hey, it is good to be here again. Last night, pretty much fighting clouds. Limited viewing of Mars & Saturn, Mizar, etc., though Roger Fry managed to snag the Sombrero. Temp not too bad, but gusting winds. I think probably 20 or so telescopes were set up, but the good thing was not too many people showed up for viewing. I did talk to a young couple from Belgium (did not come to Bryce for the eclipse), just stumbled across the astrofest by accident. Another group from Canada, NYC, etc. Several from St George. Richard went to white light just after midnight, so we all packed up and left early. The atmosphere was not steady because of the wind, but the views, when good, were very good. Just had to be patient and spend more time at the eyepiece waiting for the very brief periods of steadiness. Looks better for tonight, but seeing is not rated too good. Suspect there w/be turbulence again. Carol's hot chocolate eased the sting when we got back to our room. Still, it is Bryce! 73, lh
