Re: [Utah-astronomy] Nocturne Observatory - New Image - M101
Another beautiful image! I also spent some time browsing through your other work on Nature Smiles and the river restoration page...amazing...all of it. You have a great eye for wildlife and wildland. Thanks, as always for sharing! ~Kelly

Hello to all my fellow astro-enthusiasts,
Since I finished the new astrograph, I have been focusing on a series of previously imaged galaxies to allow comparison with my previous equipment setups. The latest in this series is M101, which was photographed over two recent nights in May 2013. I spent one entire evening taking 10-minute unbinned luminance frames, and another evening taking 5-minute RGB frames binned 2x2. The image turned out quite nice and I was able to resolve details into the core of the galaxy. Please visit my website and take a look at the image. A link is provided below.

As always, please take time to click the smaller image a couple of times to get to the full resolution version, which has lots of detail to peruse. Feedback is always appreciated.
Thanks,
Tyler
