We had a great time at Monte Cristo last week. I arrived on Thursday. Thursday night started out windy but settled down and was really good. Friday had some early clouds and haziness but also cleared off late. Saturday had a bit of haze but was also clear. I heard from others that Wednesday was good as well. We had some very interested people drop in from the campground and were able to give them a show. We had some good astronomers that stayed out until 3 or 4 every night. I was lazy this trip and went to bed by 1 or 2 every night. I also saw several Perseid meteors and some other meteors that seemed to be coming from Capricornus. The next Monte is Aug 29 - Sept 2 if anyone is interested in coming up.
