I buzzed down to Kanab yesterday where fellow list members Dave and Charlotte Gary picked me up at the airport and then pressed on to Jerry and Cindy Foote's place for a visit and tour of Vermillion Cliffs Observatories. Last time I was down there there were "only" two observatories but they're recently added a third. And what a cute little observatory it is. And I do mean little: http://users.wirelessbeehive.com/~paw/temp/minirolloff.jpg Jerry designed and built it himself. Made out of powder coated metal. Really looks great. And while looking at the picture, notice the background. How would you like to have a backyard like that?! After lunch Dave and Charlotte dropped me back at Kanab International and then headed home to St. George where Dave set to work seeing if my trusty old ST-237 still works. Didn't take him long to figure it out as he just sent me some test image he took tonight. (You work fast Dave <g>). As for my return flight, flying through this was lots of fun: http://users.wirelessbeehive.com/~paw/temp/rainwall.jpg Happily the clouds cleared off by the time I got home and I'm now on image #169. Clear skies and a great night, patrick
Looks like the perfect size for gremlins.

Siegfried, reminds me of WW II aircraft spotting as an 8 yr old, along with my stepmother. We got excited whenever a plane flew near enough to spot it. I can't imagine the excitement when one lands! lh On 8/30/2011 12:24 PM, Siegfried Jachmann wrote:

Its kinda cool how theres even a security camera inside of it, I guess that’s just in case a midget burglar breaks in through that window?

Here's one for you. Imagine me fitting into that observatory with the setup! (I know it isn't meant for that). On Tue, Aug 30, 2011 at 7:42 PM, Jorge Gutierrez <gotfoxx@hotmail.com>wrote:
