Thanks for your replies, Sig and Joe. I watched from my backyard, but didn't see anything. Missed you all, but I am sure my yard was warmer than SPOC (and I could stay in my jammies). I will be to the last star party of the season tomorrow night on the Andy. See you then!

Nah, then no one would have been looking at the Moon. :) But on a serious note, I'd like to thank everyone who supported this morning's event and a very special thanks to Kurt Fisher for all of the work he put into the project. Before Kurt got involved I had only planned on watching the events from home on NASA TV. But because of Kurt's efforts I ended up participating in this morning's very interesting and fun event. It's just too bad that Kurt wasn't able to make it to Denny's afterwards and hear all the nice things being said. Kudos Kurt! patrick
Truth be told, I was the most fun I can remember having at a star party. The evening was lovely (though cold) and I managed to work out almost all of the kinks in my telescope. The remaining issues are so minor as to verge on insignificance. Thank you, Kurt, for alerting us. The important thing was the great spirit we shared. -- Joe --- On Fri, 10/9/09, Patrick Wiggins <paw@wirelessbeehive.com> wrote: From: Patrick Wiggins <paw@wirelessbeehive.com> Subject: Re: [Utah-astronomy] Utah's view of LCROSS To: "Utah Astronomy" <utah-astronomy@mailman.xmission.com> Date: Friday, October 9, 2009, 9:26 PM On 09 Oct 2009, at 14:43, Siegfried Jachmann wrote:
