Some terrific prominences today, a neat arch and a curtain next to it. An area to keep an eye on in coming days, weather permitting. That big sunspot group is full of detail, as well. Lots of surface detail and several interesting flocculi. I ordered a double-stack etalon for my PST yesterday, it should be here by Friday. Currently on-sale for $245 off the regular price. This will make the surface detail really pop. Increased contrast. Sorry folks, that pretty much guarantees torrential rain and clouds for the upcoming weekend. Definitely my fault this time.
