I was browsing the NASA website today and found this satellite world atlas program. It's a rather large download, but it allows you to zoom in, from space, to a 1 meter resolution anywhere in the U.S. and I believe a 7 meter resolution most everywhere else. It was detailed enough for me to find my tiny box of a house. If you have kids this is a wonderful tool, and if not it is still a blast to look down on what we are usually looking up at.
