Hi Chuck, I'm thinking about getting an 8" f/4 Newtonian that weighs less than 15 lbs. The scope that I've been looking at, the Vixen R200SS, weighs 11.7 lbs and could mount on my GM-8 German Equatorial mount. But I'm like you, I don't have the space for it right now unless I store it in a neighbors garage or buy another house. In fact, I need to clean out my closet to store more equipment.
