I thought I remembered seeing an email about somewhere north of Salt Lake like Ogden or something, being officially designated as a Night Sky Park. Can anyone shed some like on this? Sent from my T-Mobile 4G LTE Device
Well if we shed light on it, it won't be a dark sky park any more. I think this is what you want, North Fork Park in Weber County: http://campaign.r20.constantcontact.com/render?ca=0f766f8f-f658-4dd4-89ce-9f... On Sat, Jun 27, 2015 at 2:07 PM, michaelcrane17 <michaelcrane17@gmail.com> wrote:

Joel had this correct, right out of the gate. Originally posted by David Dunn, on April 13. I remember quite well, as I was eagerly anticipating our Capitol Reef IDA Dark Sky Park announcement and was thrown for a loop when I saw another "New Dark Sky Park in Utah", instead! ;^) Our announcement followed 3 days later. Glad to see one up in that area! Hi Michael, I believe you are probably referring to North For Park in the Ogden area. Here is an article from the Standard Examiner about it. http://www.standard.net/Education/2014/05/15/15-dark-skies If I remember correctly they received the dark sky designation early in 2015. Clear skies, Dale. On Sun, Jun 28, 2015 at 9:54 AM, Siegfried Jachmann <siegfried@jachmann.org> wrote:

Doh... that is North Fork Park, not North For Park. Since I messed it up here is another link that discusses it's status as a bronze tier International Dark Sky Park. http://www.standard.net/Environment/2015/04/15/North-Fork-Park-receives-rare...
