When I finished with my photometry stuff last night the skies were too good to go to waste. So I looked about and found NGC-7331 and its retinue of smaller galaxies high in the sky. I got 30 one minute exposures and after some quick and dirty processing I came up with this: http://users.wirelessbeehive.com/~paw/temp/NGC7331.JPG Not Tyler-like (notice the cores are burnt out) but I don't have his patience or skill. :) Still I rather like it. BTW, I kept the originals and the master flat and master dark. I'd be happy to pass those on to anyone who'd like to experiment with them. Clear skies! patrick
That is a nice capture Patrick. What setup and camera did you use? What photometry do you do? Sounds interesting ;-) Cheers David Patrick Wiggins wrote:

Thanks.
What setup and camera did you use?
C-14 @ f/5.5 (~2,000mm focal length), ST-10 camera binned 2x2 and chilled to -10. Clear filter.
What photometry do you do?
For a long time it was mostly minor planet light curves. But UA list members Cindy and Jerry Foote recently lured me over to exo-planet light curves. Cheers, patrick
Hi Friends, for a report on the Ares I first stage test, which was scrubbed on Thursday, please see my blog at http://www.deseretnews.com/blogs/1,5322,10000034,00.html I would appreciate comments both on the blog and on the pictures by my wife, blog photog Cory. Thanks, Joe
Looking good Patrick!
