A couple of science related items in today's media. First an editorial in today's Tribune which seems encouraging but if I understand correctly not all "first world" countries were included in the study. Science scores a bright light for Utah schools http://www.sltrib.com/sltrib/opinion/57053475-82/utah-students-countries-sci... And second from today's NPR Fresh Air program. Lots in the interview I found interesting but one thing I'd not thought about was how it's difficult to physically keep control of one's self in micro-gravity without the use of vision. Has me wondering if the same might be said about being in freefall (I think I'll try that with eyes closed and see what happens). Clark Planetarium is liquidating our inventory of slow-selling telescopes, binoculars, eyepieces and various telescope accessories. LOTS of eyepieces. I know this list isn't for conducting business, but this seems to be a group that's likely to take an interest in this. If you'll contact me off-list I'll send you a PDF of what's up for grabs. Thanks, Seth Jarvis sjarvis@slco.org
Hi Seth, I am interested in what is for sale. I purchase items from the Clark each year for our Solstice Party raffle. Thanks -A On Thu, Oct 31, 2013 at 3:48 PM, Seth Jarvis <SJarvis@slco.org> wrote:
