The more I use these, the more I like them. Not more than the 15x70mm units, but they certainly complement each other. The 20x mag. is better for smaller objects such as most planetaries, and galaxies once you drift beyond the Messiers. Correction, I like them better for the moon and sun, where more detail is instantly apparent. Sportsmans Guide still lists them at under $90. Hopefully this will take you to their catalog page: http://www.sportsmansguide.com/cb/cb.asp?a=141931 __________________________________ Do you Yahoo!? Yahoo! I am just back in town. How did Thursday's school star party go? My apologies to those who called or e-mailed me about the party while I was gone. -A
The school did not put on the big affair as they have in the past. Guy did the etiquette presentation as it was getting dark. There were about ten telescopes, more or less. Fewer kids than in the past. The people that were there were very appreciative of our efforts. Guy has a knack for showing interesting objects. The school, btw, is at about 20th East. I don't know if anybody got lost. Sig ----- Original Message ----- From: "Ann C. Thanks for the report on the party. And thanks for going. This would be a difficult position for me if it were not for all the support from the group. I am curious and somewhat peeved about the wrong address. This is the second time I have been given an incorrect address for a school. Seems if they want us there, they would not get that wrong! Not a small detail. I want to make it easy for you volunteers since you are giving your time and talent (and gas money). -A
