The Standard Examiner claims that the Hansen Planetarium has hired Astrologers. Meteor showers peak next week SALT LAKE CITY -- Astrological experts at the Hansen Planetarium are advising Utahns to plan some late-night outdoor activities next week. This year"s annual Perseid meteor shower will peak Aug. 12, and under ideal observing conditions, one can expect to see about two meteors per minute that night. Around each Aug. 12, Earth"s orbit travels through the densest part of a stream of dust and dirt ejected by comet Swift-Tuttle. Robert Bigelow, Hansen Planetarium education specialist, advises people to get away from city lights for the best view.
