An afterthought is NASA posted that picture as an example, not as an actual image, for all who will be looking looking at the sun on June 5th in hopes of sighting first contact. The SOHO image of today is much more representative of what viewers will see and based on the NASA website you can take a good guess where first contact will occur in relation to the sunpots visible. Knowing that it is Dave's deepest, darkest and most feverent desire to join the flat earth society, I thought he might be viewing the sun from a very different perspective (it was meant as a joke).
