Oh, and I should mention, this isn't at the traditional Pit n Pole site. When I got out there last night there was an RV there all set up. Looked like they had been there for a few days. So I drove down to the Pony Express marker and thought I would try a place to the north of the marker. Then I thought I saw a friend's car to the south of the marker drive up a ridge so I went over there. Nope, not a friend but I made a new friend. Corey from Springville was there and he had a very nice 8 inch ATM dob and since I didn't know if anyone but Craig was coming I called Craig, let him know where we were and set up with Corey and his son. I like this new site as you could see the RV at the Pit and this site is 200 or so feet higher up than the Pit, is about 2 miles west of the Pit and is on a ridge. Might help with humidity. The bad side is that this location is similar to Lakeside in terms of all the dust that kicks up, the Pit has more gravel. I'll use it again tonight if the Pit is taken by that RV. If you want to see it, look for Pony Express Marker South on my Google Maps of Observing sites: http://maps.google.com/maps/ms?msid=211755030117194028721.00049324662bf653d3... I think with all the red lights I know I was sketching the Bubble Nebula and am very happy with that sketch. Cory and Craig where looking at an atlas and a map to go to an object. We had my 14 inch, two Orion XT10 (mine which Craig was using and Jorge) and Cory's 8 inch home made dob which was nicely done. We were gone by 1:00a.m. because at 12:00a.m. I was getting too fatigued and started packing it up. On Sat, Sep 24, 2011 at 12:48 PM, Jay Eads <jayleads@gmail.com> wrote:

That's nice, Jorge. How many folks were there?
