Good morning everyone. I wanted to let you know that Erik and I have made peace or at least we are working on it "off list". I would encourage that no one be banned over this trivial event. I would think a warning for language someone feels is offensive may be justified. I have received those warnings in the past. It has encouraged me to keep a civil tounge when I otherwise might not have. "Can't we all just get along"?
In our conservation Steve thought his 4th of July post would have been a fine facebook post. Does everyone in SLAS believe this would be non offensive enough to post on the SLAS facebook page? He has not understood a word I have said.

Since you asked. I think I followed the entire thread. I did not see one thing in Steve's message I found offensive. I shall have to concur with Siegfried. While Steve may have rubbed a few reader's, especially Erik's, feelings the wrong way with the comment about leaving this country for not displaying the flag on the 4th, having Erik calling him a name that begins with the letter "p" is similar to using the "n" word when describing a person of color. As far as that goes, isn't Abu Dhabi one of those resort destination places that has year-round indoor snow skiing and man-made resort islands in the Persian Gulf in the shape of palm trees?
