Anyone who was at SPOC yesterday afternoon and last night knows just how great a success SLAS's Astronomy Day celebration was. Hundreds of public showed up and there were more telescopes spread out around the observatory grounds than I've ever seen before. Great guest speakers, door prizes fit for RTMC, good food, impressive t-shirts and VERY long lines at the observatory's two telescopes. SLAS and everyone who attended owe a big "Thank you and a job well done!" to Astronomy Day committee chair Ann House and the many members of her committee. Kudos! Patrick
I'll second that! Quoting Patrick Wiggins <paw@trilobyte.net>:

Sorry I missed all the afternoon festivities, but the nighttime star party was great. What a crowd! Stayed so busy at my own little scope that I never even had a chance to look through the big one. On Apr 17, 2005, at 10:39 AM, diveboss@xmission.com wrote:
