The list is picking on me again in that it's only sending me some of the messages (makes me wonder if it will be sending me a copy of this...) At any rate, checking the list archive I see there was a question asking if anyone is planning on viewing next month's transit. SLAS will be holding a Mercury Transit Watch at the Harmons in Midvale from noon until sunset. http://www.slas.us/displayevent.asp?EventID=869 pw
Hi Patrick This is the site that will carry our Transit Images, we'll have images from Mauna Kea, Haleakala and possibly from California. We'll have 5 scopes doing imaging on Haleakala in white light and Ha, Mauna Kea will be doing white light and CaK, images from California will be Ha and CaK from Garry Palmer. And of course, I sure do hope the weather cooperates. Good Luck!! Aloha Rob http://www.astroday.net/MercTransit06.html
