Hi Kelly, Thanks! I have a generator but it would be annoying to anyone else at a star party. Do you think the batteries could power my laptop all night? I have other batteries that I use for other needs, but it's the laptop that's an electrical hog. I think I have an inverter too, but if not I could buy one. Best wishes, Joe

Joe: I'm sure Kelly can chime in here with dew and frost information. As for me, I don't own any dew heaters or anything like that. Both my refractors have dew shields but that is it. The lot where we observed from last September while not the darkest spots available in the park were great for setting up and we met some great people while there. If the frost move in I will still enjoy standing around with like minded folks drinking Hot Chocolate. Good to hear Steve. I can't make it to Bryce this year as it is the last week of school for me and we can't take time off the first or last week of school per contract so I want to hit as many of the Great Basin events as possible. I've been out to around 0 to -6 F a couple of times this winter (but with an observing buddy and not alone). I prefer winter observing no lower than 20 degrees but this winter one seems to have to take what the weather gives one. I usually take my Coleman BlackCat Catalytic Heater but with the visitors center open to warm up, that will work if I feel the need to warm up. Kelly, will there be hot water available as I have to bring my own warm beverage and make it (has to be gluten free). On a different note, the transparency is looking fantastic tonight though some wind out of the north. I may go out for around 4 hours tonight.
