Patrick, In theory, I'd be happy to come with you (I have an 80mm Lunt I'd bring). The trouble is, I wouldn't really know if I could take the day off work until I knew the date, and it was somewhat closer. In theory, I'd be willing to lend the scope to you (not to anybody mind, but...), but that doesn't help much if you have to be re-aiming two scopes instead of one--although I have a Celestron CG4 that I normally mount it on and a teacher would was willing to follow directions could keep it pointed for you. (You'd be responsible for cleaning fingerprints off the eyelens ;-) At any rate, when you know more, I'd like to hear--in case I could get away. John
Thanks for the offer John, Unfortunately the date is going to be dependent on when the car arrives (plus a few days for me to figure out how to drive it). While they did start building the car yesterday I'm told the build-phase will take 2 to 3 weeks followed by a couple of days to get it here and ready for pickup. That will put it awfully close to the end of the school year but I'm still hopeful. I'll post an update when I learn more. Thanks again, patrick On 22 Apr 2015, at 19:29, John M.
