I am interested as well - I have the same question about cost, too. I do know the ballpark price from newport glass and williambell's catalog for the kit, but have not researched the materials past the glass and grit. One way or another I am going to build a scope, - doing so in a social environment like this class is exactly what I need. Kris Jones
