Hi Chuck, Thankyou, I'd like to take you up on the offer. I have a GP-DX mount I can bring along if your mount is still in bits - will your OTA fit or didn't you bother with rings and dovetail? Which star party do you have in mind - I've not been able to be very social re SLAS parties I'm afraid.... Cheers David

I do have rings and a small equatorial that will suffice, but the Weightless mount (see S&T, 3-99) is so much easier to use visually, than an equatorial, that I prefer it. Anyway it's back together now and ready.

Heh, join the 'club'. I have not been a star-party regular since the late '70's, for a number of reasons. Due to the nature of my job I cannot make advance plans; time-off is taken when it occurs, between contracts (almost always coinciding with bad weather or full moon).
